Jillian Elaine Dickey, 52, of New London, died on Sept. 21, 2016, at Great River Hospice House.
A memorial service for Dickey will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Elliott Chapel, in New London, at 11 a.m. Friends may call after 9 a.m., with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kenneth Smith will officiate. Inurnment will follow the service at Burge Cemetery, in rural New London.

Jillian Elaine Dickey, 52, of New London, died on Sept. 21, 2016, at Great River Hospice House.

A memorial has been established for ALS (Lou Gehrig?s Disease) and Great River Hospice House, in West Burlington.
Dickey was born on May 14, 1964, in Burlington, the daughter of Virgil Arthur and Jane Lea Fuhrer Ruschill. On May 15, 1993, she married Dennis R. Dickey at Zion United Church of Christ, in Burlington. She graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1982.
She worked as a dog groomer at her business, Tailored Tails, in Mt. Pleasant; as a vet tech for several doctors in southeast Iowa; and as a CNA and medical aide at Prairie Ridge and Hope Haven.
She enjoyed being around animals, reading, music, decorating, and collecting and selling primitive antiques.
Dickey is survived by her husband; her daughter, Renae Lynn (Richard Parsons) Dickey, of Revere, Mo.; her father, Virgil Ruschill, of Burlington; her sister, Colleen (Don) Squires, of Clatskanie, Ore.; and two brothers, Alan (Sue) Ruschill and Evan Ruschill, both of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Ruschill; and her grandparents.
