John Edward Dagenhart, age 74, of St. Charles passed away at home surrounded by his lovely wife Sharon (Sue) on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m.
John was born in Aledo, IL, to Henry and Vada (Fetters) on November 12, 1938. When John was a young lad they moved to south of Edina, MO where he helped with the family farm.

John Edward Dagenhart, age 74, of St. Charles passed away at home surrounded by his lovely wife Sharon (Sue) on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m.
John was born in Aledo, IL, to Henry and Vada (Fetters) on November 12, 1938. When John was a young lad they moved to south of Edina, MO where he helped with the family farm.
John attended the Kirk School south of Edina and after graduating high school he joined the Army Reserves.
After serving his country John spent time driving trucks across country until such time he started owning and operating laundry mats in Edina and finally settling in St. Charles, MO.
John is survived by his wife Sue of 28 years, son, Craig (Janice) Kaufman of Lockridge IA, daughter Julie Hill of Fairfield IA, sisters June (Larry) Webb of Brookings, OR, Shirley Hysell of Surprise, AZ, Dorothy (Leroy) Payne of Fort Madison, IA, Mary (Bill) Willis of Novinger, MO, Nancy (Bob) Winchell of Tonopah, AZ, Noreen (Gene) Farris of Edina, MO, brother James Dagenhart of Kansas City, KS, and brother-in-law Edward (Scotty) Ausmus of Bevier, MO. John is also survived by grandson C.J., several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Lois Ausmus and Linda Bowen, a brother, Donnie Wayne, a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Dagenhart and a niece.
John always loved being around his large family and endearing friends for a good game of cards or other games they came up with, and his most favorite past time?traveling.
