Arrests
A caller reported a wanted subject at the treasurer's office at the courthouse, Friday morning at West Main Street in Washington. Karey Ann Greiner, 41, of Richland (Rubio), was arrested on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear for initial appearance on dog at large citation. Bond was $300 cash only. An officer transported the subject to the jail and served the warrant.
Johnson County reported being out with a subject wanted out of Washington County, Friday night at Melrose Avenue in Iowa City. Denise Lynn Chambers, 51, of North Liberty, was arrested on a Washington County warrant for possession of controlled substance – marijuana, first offense. Bond was $500 cash only. A Washington County officer transported the subject to the Washington County Jail, and the warrant was cleared from the system.
A deputy reported being out with a subject wanted out of Washington County, Friday night at Washington Street in Ainsworth. Joshua John Lang, 29, of Ainsworth, was arrested on two Washington County warrants: one warrant, for possession of controlled substance -- marijuana second offense; and the second warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was $1,300 cash only. The warrants were cleared from the system.
An officer reported being in a pursuit, Friday night at East Madison Street and South Fourth Avenue in Washington. The officer advised that the vehicle stopped after hitting a picnic table on South Avenue north of East Monroe Street. Six additional officers also responded. Ernest Lee Shaw Jr., 21, of Washington, was arrested on a charge of possession of controlled substance – marijuana, first offense. Jermaine Isaac Alonzo Adams, 36, of Washington, was arrested at the same time and location on charges of driving while barred sixth offense, eluding, interference with official acts, seven counts of stop sign violations, and driving without headlights. Tri-State Towing responded and towed the vehicle to the Washington County Jail, to be released to a valid driver upon payment of the tow bill.
Cedar Rapids Police Department reported that a subject had been picked up on a warrant out of Washington County, Friday night at First Street S.W. in Cedar Rapids. Gregory Paul Dye, 42, of Cedar Rapids, was arrested on charges of failure to appear for mittimus on original charges of third-degree theft and driving while barred. There was no bond. The subject must serve six days, six hours, and 32 minutes. A detainer was placed with Linn County, and extradition arrangements will be made.
An officer reported being out with a subject in reference to a pursuit that just ended, early Saturday morning at East Madison Street in Washington. Jermaine Isaac Alonzo Adams, 36, of Washington, was arrested on a charge of interference with official acts.
Traffic stop serious
An officer reported being on a vehicle stop at Ginkgo Avenue and 120th Street in Wellman, Friday morning. Michael Roland Little Jr., 31, of Burlington, was cited into court for driving while license under suspension, first offense.
Disabled vehicles
An officer reported being out with a disabled motorhome, Friday morning at Highway 92 and Spruce Avenue in Washington. The motorhome had a flat tire. It was added to the system.
An officer reported being out with a broken-down vehicle, Friday afternoon at Ginkgo Avenue in Wellman. The vehicle was added to the system. It had a flat front tire.
A caller early Saturday morning at Spruce Avenue and 220th Street in Washington reported a male and a female walking eastbound from the area, on G36. There was also a vehicle parked just down the road. An officer responded. The subject lost his phone along the roadway and was looking for it. The phone was located, and the subjects were on their way.
Civil dispute
An officer reported a subject in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a civil property dispute, Friday morning at South Marion Avenue in Washington. The subject believed the neighbor took down some tape they had put up in the yard. She believed it was ongoing harassment. The officer spoke with the subject. It was a civil problem.
Callers Friday night at South Second Avenue in Washington requested to speak with an officer regarding a child custody dispute. An officer spoke with both callers. The situation was going to be left alone for the night. The mother may try to pick up the children on Saturday. It was a civil issue.

A caller Friday night at Parkside Estates Road in Washington reported loud music coming from her neighbor's residence. An officer responded. The music was coming from the band at the fairgrounds.
Drug/narcotics violation
A caller Friday morning at West Main Street in Washington reported a suspicious smell in the hallway. Two officers responded. The report was unfounded.
Family offense nonviolent
A caller Friday morning at South Iowa Avenue in Washington wanted to report numerous no-contact order violation. An officer spoke with the subject. Documentation was made.
Public service/contacts
An officer reported being out with a female crying, Friday night at West Monroe Street in Washington. The subject got into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, who arrived and picked her up.
Trespass
An officer reported locating at subject and advising him he was no longer welcome at the church, Friday noon at Fourth Street in Kalona. If the subject returned, there would be trespass charges.
A caller Friday night at South Marion Avenue in Washington reported a subject going onto her property continuously. An officer responded and spoke to the caller. The other subject had left. The officer was going to attempt to contact her and speak with her about the issue. The incident was documented.
A caller early Saturday morning at Highway 1 in Washington reported that his ex-wife was at the house knocking on the door and calling him on his phone. Two officers responded. Charges will be filed on Rachel Marie Fishback, 39, of Washington, for trespass.
Welfare check
A caller Friday afternoon at East Fifth Street in Washington requested a welfare check for an 84-year-old female whom she had not heard from in a while. An officer responded and found the subject. She was OK in her residence. The officer made contact with the caller, as well.
A caller early Saturday morning at West Sixth Street and North Avenue D in Washington reported that there was a female walking on her driveway, who was stumbling around. The female was in her early 20s and was wearing a white floral shirt and white shorts. She was last seen walking northbound on North Avenue D. An officer responded and checked the area and was unable to locate the subject.
All other offenses
A caller Friday morning at South Ninth Avenue in Washington reported that her son was there and was getting some items from the garage, and was acting strange. He broke the glass to the back door. Four officers responded. The male subject left before the officers' arrival.
