Arrests
An officer reported being out with a vehicle that was all over the road, Saturday night at Highway 1 and 315th Street in Washington. The officer arrested Lorena Guerr, 40, of Washington, for driving under the influence, first offense. A Washington County officer transported the subject to the Washington County Jail.
Traffic accident
A caller Saturday morning at Highway 92 in Washington reported that his wife was involved in a backing accident in the parking lot. There were no injuries. Vehicles were a blue Nissan Altima and a black Dodge Journey. An officer responded. Vehicle operators were Mackenzie Talbot, of Washington, and Rebecca York, of Washington. Damages were less than $1,500. Information was exchanged.
A caller Saturday morning at Quince Avenue and Highway 92 in Washington reported that a vehicle swerved and rolled over, landing in the ditch. A second caller advised that there was a trap. A Washington County ambulance, Washington Fire, a Washington County Rescue unit, and four officers responded. The vehicle operator was Kathleen Coakley, of Washington. Moore's responded and towed the vehicle to the driver's residence. There was no medical transport. Damages amounted to more than $1,500. A state accident report will be filed.
A caller Saturday afternoon at West Monroe Street in Washington reported a traffic accident in the parking lot, with no injuries. An officer responded. Damages exceeded $1,500, and a state accident report will be filed. Vehicle operators were Brandi Su Hagg, and Herrera Fidel Valles.
A caller Saturday afternoon at North Van Buren Street in Brighton reported a traffic accident with no injuries in the parking lot. Vehicles involved were a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix and a GMC pickup. An officer responded. This occurred on private property. Information was exchanged. Vehicle operators were Brian Michael Wolf, and Justin Paul Banks.
A caller Saturday evening at Highway 22 in Riverside reported that a vehicle hit her van in a parking lot. An officer responded and spoke to the caller. The accident was on private property, and documentation was made. The other vehicle operator was a possible drunken driver. The officer planned to get video from the business on Tuesday and talk to the county attorney.
Disabled vehicles
A caller Saturday morning at Highway 218 and 150th Street in Washington reported a broken-down minivan with a flat tire. The driver and passengers were with the vehicle. Iowa State Patrol responded.
A disabled vehicle call was received, Saturday night at Highway 92 in West Chester.
An officer reported being out with a disabled vehicle, early Sunday morning at Birch Avenue and Highway 78 in Richland. The vehicle was unoccupied and was added to the system.
Fire calls
A caller Saturday morning at 200th Street in West Chester reported an ATV on fire near a machine shed. Wellman fire and a Washington County officer responded. The fire was extinguished.
Animal complaint
A caller Saturday evening at North Marion Avenue in Washington advised that there was a sheep in the back of a truck that had been there all day. An officer responded but was unable to locate the animal.
An officer reported being out with a deer in the roadway that needed to be put down, early Sunday morning at Highway 1 and Lexington Boulevard in Washington. The officer made the deer final.
A caller early Sunday morning at Juniper Avenue and 130th Street in Kalona reported a white-and-brown horse that was dragging a fence post around. It appeared that it was chained to a fence and broke loose. It was currently in the yard on the southeast corn of the intersection. An officer responded and located the horse that was tied to a lead in the yard.

A caller Saturday night at North Second Avenue in Washington reported kids having a party upstairs and knocking on her door. An officer responded and spoke to the subjects, who advised that they would keep the noise down.
A caller Saturday night at South Mechanic Street in Brighton reported loud music in the area and was unsure of the address. He did speak with subjects earlier and asked them to turn the music down. An officer responded and spoke with a subject at West Main Street, and the music was turned down. The caller was advised to call back if it continued.
Fraud
A caller Saturday morning at 330th Street in Brighton reported a fraud phone call. An officer spoke to the caller. Documentation was made.
Search warrant
An officer reported executing a search warrant on a vehicle, Saturday afternoon at Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Earl's towed the vehicle to his lot, to be released to a valid driver upon payment of the tow bill. Documentation was made.
All other theft
A caller Saturday afternoon at Tulip Avenue in Riverside reported a theft of black tar. An officer spoke to the caller. Documentation was made.
All other offenses
A caller Saturday afternoon at South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported locating a bicycle on his property. An officer responded and took the bike to the bike shed. It was a blue mountain bike, partially spray-painted brown.
An officer reported conducting an interview on a subject in the jail who failed to appear for his mittimus, Saturday afternoon at Lexington Boulevard in Washington. The officer advised that there were no charges.
A caller Saturday night at East Sixth Street in Washington reported youngsters playing on the dirt/rock piles near the city shed. An officer responded and was unable to locate the juveniles.
