Arrests
A caller Monday afternoon at North Third Avenue in Washington reported that the neighbor said he was fighting with his wife and it was physical. They were either back in the house or in the backyard. The caller requested an officer. Three officers responded. Brittina Marie Lisauskas, 23, of Washington, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse assault.
Disabled vehicles
An officer reported an unoccupied disabled vehicle, Monday morning at Fir Avenue and Highway 78 in Brighton, and planned to check back.
A caller Monday afternoon at Highway 218 and 282nd Street in Crawfordsville reported that her vehicle was broken down, and requested assistance. She was fine but would be waiting for her father to come with a car hauler. The caller called back to request that Moore's Towing respond.
Fire calls
A subject Monday afternoon at First Avenue in Wellman reported seeing smoke coming from the golf course. The Wellman Fire Department was paged and was disregarded because it was a controlled burn.
Animal complaint
A caller Monday morning at Fifth Street in Kalona reported that a dog was padlocked to a table across from the apartments in Kalona, and requested that a deputy check on it. The dog had water, a doghouse, and shade, and was on a chain tied to a post. There was no padlock. The dog was fine. The report was unfounded.
A caller Monday morning at Jefferson Street in Kalona reported that a loose brown-and-white pitbull with tags in the Richmond Park followed them home. An officer responded. The owner, Laurie Lettington, of Kalona (Richmond), was given a verbal warning in reference to the leash law.
A caller Monday afternoon at South Fourth Avenue in Washington reported that the neighbors kept putting their four dogs outside about 6:30 a.m. and did not bring them in until after dark. They were all tangled up at the time of the call. A written warning was given to Robert Walter Reed, 64, of Washington, regarding tether ordinance violation.
A caller Monday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington requested an officer for a dog bite. An officer responded. A dog bite form was filled out. The dog belonged to the victim. Documentation was made.
Assault
A caller Monday night at South Second Avenue in Washington reported two male subjects fighting. It was physical. One had bitten the other's finger, and it was bleeding. Three Washington County officers, a police officer and a Washington County ambulance responded. The ambulance transported one subject to the Washington County Hospital, arriving at 12:04 a.m. The subject did not wish to pursue any charges. Documentation was made.
Burglary
A caller Monday afternoon at South Mechanic Street in Brighton reported that his residence was broken into either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Items taken were a Tupperware bowl of change ($130 to $200 in change), silver from the bedroom, and new jeans. The residence was locked. An officer spoke with the caller. A report will be filed.
Civil standby
A caller Monday morning at South Ninth Avenue in Washington requested a civil standby at a residence in Washington to retrieve clothes for her boyfriend. The caller called back to advise that she retrieved the items without incident before responding officers' arrival.

Hang-up 911 calls
An open-line 911 call was reported, Monday morning at Old White Way in Ainsworth. An officer responded. Subjects at the residence were fine.
Suspicious activity
A caller Monday afternoon at North Grant Street in Crawfordsville reported that over the weekend someone had had a fire at a foreclosed property, and it looked as if there was damage to the siding. An officer responded for documentation of the southwest corner of the house. It did not appear suspicious.
Welfare check
A caller Monday morning at East Tyler Street in Washington requested a welfare check on a neighbor. Two officers responded. The subject was fine.
A caller Monday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington requested assistance with a welfare check on their son. An officer spoke with the caller and checked on the juvenile subject. He was OK.
