Arrests
An officer reported being out with a wanted subject out of Jasper County, Sunday afternoon at East Second Street in Washington. Kelsey Jo Lamar, 29, of Washington, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant for parole violation on an original charge of unauthorized use of credit card. There was no bond. The subject was detained at the Washington County Jail, pending extradition arrangements.
An officer reported stopping a vehicle at North Sixth Avenue and East Second Street in Washington, Sunday afternoon, for tinted windows. Shatani Dimitrius Buck, 26, of Iowa City, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension first offense. Charges are pending for DCI Lab results for possession of controlled substance.
Traffic accident
A caller Sunday night at East Seventh Street in Washington reported that a male subject was in the bar causing problems. They were able to get him to leave, but when he was driving out of the parking lot he hit another patron'' car. He left driving a black Ford four-door truck southbound on North Sixth Avenue. Two officers responded, spoke with the caller and the owner of the other vehicle, and located the possible suspect vehicle at a residence at south Second Avenue. The officers could not make contact with anyone at the residence.
A caller early Monday morning at Larch Avenue and Highway 92 in Washington reported a deer in the roadway on Highway 92. The deer was removed before an officer arrived. The vehicle that struck the deer was no longer in the area.
Disabled vehicles
A disabled vehicle was reported, Sunday night at Ivy Avenue and 250th Street in Washington.
An officer reported being with a vehicle along the roadway, Sunday night at Highway 92 and Spruce Avenue in Washington. No one was around the vehicle. The officer added it to the system.
An officer reported being out with a disabled vehicle with Missouri license plates, Sunday night at 160th Street and Highway 218 in Riverside. The operator was given a ride to Johnson County area and would be towing the vehicle on Monday.
Animal complaint
A caller Sunday morning at 245th Street in Ainsworth reported a black Lab that ran in front of his car. This was an ongoing issue. An officer responded. A written warning for dog at large was issued to Brittany Longbine.
A caller Sunday afternoon at North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that three huskies with collars were running loose. One was brown, one was black, and one was gray in color. An officer responded. A neighbor of the dog owners' was out helping to locate the dogs. They were returned to the owner.
A caller Sunday night at East Tyler Street in Washington reported a dog that had been barking in the upstairs apartment. The owners were back at the time of the call, but she wanted an officer to speak with them. An officer responded and spoke with the owners of the dogs and made them aware of the complaint and the city ordinance.
Civil dispute
A caller Sunday night at East Madison Street in Brighton requested to speak with a deputy to retrieve property from his vehicle that was at a friend's house. An officer responded and assisted the caller with retrieving his property.
DP & Q
A caller early Monday morning reported loud music at Highway 1 in Washington. Two officers responded and spoke with workers, who had already turned the music down. They were advised of the complaint.
Family offense nonviolent
A caller Sunday afternoon at Highway 92 in West Chester requested an officer to assist with her out-of-control 11-year-old who was not listening and was being disrespectful. An officer responded. The child was not acting up upon the officer's arrival. The caller was going to make contact with their case worker on Monday.
A caller Sunday evening at South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported getting a text needing help. A teenage boy was out of control and was attacking her. Officers responded. Everyone was calmed down upon the officers' arrival.
A caller Sunday night at South Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that his mother grabbed a younger sibling on a burn, and they needed an officer at the residence. An officer responded. There had been an argument between the 12-year-old male and the mother. Nothing physical occurred. The parties were going to separate for the evening.
Hang-up 911 calls
Two open-line 911 calls were reported, Sunday night at South Avenue C in Washington. An officer responded and spoke with subjects at the residence. There was an issue with the phone. Everything was fine.
Intimidation/harassment
A caller Sunday morning at South Avenue C in Washington reported harassment via Facebook. An officer spoke with the caller, who was requesting documentation only at that time.
Sexual child abuse
An officer Sunday night reported receiving information on Friday of a possible sexual assault, at East Washington Street in Washington. The officer advised that report would be filed.
Welfare check
A caller Sunday night at West Monroe Street in Washington reported that a subject had not shown up for work Saturday or Sunday. An officer responded and made contact with the subject. There was no problem.
Two officers reported being out with a female subject walking, early Monday morning at 250th Street and West Madison Street in Washington. An officer transported the female to her residence.
All other theft
A caller early Monday morning at South Avenue B in Washington reported that his debit card had been stolen. An officer responded and spoke to the caller. The report is under investigation.
All other offenses
A deputy reported being out with two subjects walking alongside the highway, Sunday morning at Highway 22 in Riverside. The officer transported both subjects to Hills.
A caller Sunday night at West Madison Street in Washington requested to speak with an officer to help calm him down. An officer responded and spoke with the subject, and also spoke to his parents about his calling 911.
A caller Sunday night at South Avenue B in Washington reported people in the parking lot were throwing fireworks at passing vehicles. An officer responded and was unable to locate the subjects.
