July Crop Price report released

DES MOINES — The average price received by farmers for corn during July 2024 in Iowa was $4.32 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service — Agricultural Prices report. This was 28 cents below the June price and $2.01 below July 2023.

The July 2024 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $11.20 per bushel, was 50 cents below the June price and $3.50 below the July 2023 price.

All hay prices in Iowa averaged $130.00 per ton in July. This was $17.00 below the June price and $42.00 below the July 2023 price. The July 2024 alfalfa hay price, at $130.00, was $23.00 below the previous month and $50.00 below July 2023. The average price received for other hay during July was $130.00 per ton. This was $1.00 above the June price but $27.00 below July last year.

The average price for milk was $22.50 per cwt, 20 cents below the June price but $7.30 above July 2023.
