July Fourth closures announced

The Fourth of July is Thursday, so many offices, businesses and services will be closed to observe the holiday.
City, county, state and federal offices will be closed Thursday and reopen Friday, with the exception of the Jefferson County Auditor's Office, which will remain closed Friday.
No congregate meal will be served Thursday at the Fairfield Community Center.
No summer meals will be served by the Fairfield Community School District Thursday. The school district offices will be closed.
Garbage and recycling collection in Fairfield will not be collected Thursday. Collection will be a day late the remainder of the week. Households, with a normal collection day on Thursday, will have their garbage and recycling picked up on Friday. Friday's regular route will be picked up Saturday.
The Fairfield Public Library is closed Thursday.
The Roosevelt Community Recreation Center, Roosevelt Aquatic Center and the outdoor pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.
The post office will be closed Thursday. No mail will be delivered.
The Fairfield Ledger office will be closed, and no newspaper will be printed Thursday.
Other businesses and offices could be closed and regularly scheduled activities could be canceled for the holiday; call ahead to check.
