Arrests
A caller Saturday evening at Main Street in Ainsworth reported that her neighbor was trespassing on her property. He was on his tractor, tearing up items on his property but kept driving onto the caller's property. There was a history of harassment. The caller requested a deputy. An officer spoke with both subjects. Thomas Lee Blakley, 85, of Ainsworth, was arrested on a charge of trespass.
An officer reported being out with several subjects in the business parking lot, Saturday night at West Madison Street in Washington. Jermaine Isaac Alonso Adams, 36, of Washington, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. The officer advised that a juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct.
Traffic accident
A caller Saturday afternoon at East Hickory Street in Riverside reported a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. The vehicles were off the roadway. Vehicle operators were Katherine Pauline Wiese, of Lone Tree, and Bailey Leeanne Harmston, of Riverside. Damage exceeded $1,500, and a state accident report will be filed. Wiese was cited for no insurance, accident-related.
Traffic other
A caller Saturday afternoon at West Monroe Street in Washington reported that a witness saw another vehicle in the parking lot strike her vehicle, causing damages. The vehicle operator was Frankie Manning, of Washington. Minor damages occurred. Information was exchanged. Damages amounted to less than $1,500.
A caller Saturday afternoon at Highway 1 in Washington reported that a vehicle cut them off leaving the Hy-Vee gas station, then ran the stop sign at the south junction. An officer responded to the vehicle owner's residence but was unable to make contact.
A conservation officer reported being out with broken glass/debris in the roadway due to someone's losing dishes, early Sunday morning at Highway 78 in Brighton. The caller requested Brighton Fire to assist in cleanup. Brighton Fire also responded and assisted.
Disabled vehicles
A disabled vehicle was reported, Saturday afternoon at Wayland Road and Coppock Road in Washington.

Fire calls
A caller Saturday morning at Highway 218 in Ainsworth reported a U-Haul trailer with a tire on fire, southbound on Highway 218. Ainsworth Fire Department responded. The fire was extinguished. The trailer was not movable. Subjects planned to make contact with U-Haul for assistance. It was off the travel portion of the highway near Mile Marker 64.
A caller Saturday morning at North Fourth Avenue in Washington reported a garage fire. Ammunition, gas tanks and a vehicle were inside. No one was inside the residence. The garage was attached to the home. Washington Fire extinguished the fire.
A caller early Sunday morning at East Van Buren Street in Washington reported the garage was on fire. It was unknown if anyone was inside or if it was connected to the residence. A second caller advised that no one should be in the garage, and it was not connected to the residence. Washington Fire, Washington County officers, a Conservation officer, and an ambulance responded. Washington Fire requested Ainsworth Fire and then disregarded them. The fire was extinguished.
Animal complaint
A caller Saturday morning that the neighbor's dog was in her yard relieving itself. The owners were verbally abusive when approached about their dog's needing to be on a leash. Kathy Fluharty was cited into court for allowing a dog to run at large.
A caller Saturday afternoon at North Iowa Avenue in Washington reported that two black dogs at the residence were unable to get out of the sun. The animals had an outside kennel, shade and a pool with water, and food.
A caller Saturday night at West Fifth Street in Washington reported two loose dogs on the Kewash Trail. An officer responded. The animals were in the owner's yard upon an officer's arrival.
Assault
A caller Saturday night at East Van Buren Street in Washington reported that they were assaulted while retrieving property for a friend. Two officers responded. The caller was going to retrieve the rest of their property on Sunday, with a civil standby.
Civil standby
A caller Saturday afternoon at South Fourth Avenue in Washington requested a civil standby to retrieve her phone. An officer assisted.
Drug/narcotics violation
A caller Saturday afternoon at East Washington Street reported a bag with syringes inside and possibly drug-related items. An officer responded. The items were going to be destroyed.
Intimidation/harassment
A caller Saturday night at East Jefferson Street in Washington reported that there was a subject who was constantly harassing him. He had been driving by his residence in a green Kia, yelling out the window. The caller requested to speak with an officer. An officer spoke with the caller. Documentation was made.
Runaways/missing person
A caller Saturday night at Highway 1 in Brighton reported that their friend flipped their kayak and then they were unable to locate the friend. Washington County officers, Conservation officers, Brighton Fire Department, Brighton QRS, Washington Rescue and an ambulance responded. Units were unable to locate and would resume the search in the morning.
Stolen property
A caller Saturday noon at East Street in West Chester reported the possible theft of her wallet overnight. She thought she left it in her car, but nothing else was missing and it did not appear that her car had been gone through. It was a maroon rectangular lady's Fossil wallet with a partially broken zipper on top. She planned to make contact with her credit card company. No cash was inside the wallet. The driver's license was entered as stolen.
A caller Saturday afternoon at West Washington Street in Brighton reported that her son returned her van that day. He did not have permission to take it. The caller wanted to pursue charges, and requested to speak with a deputy. Charges are pending for driving without owner's consent.
Suspicious activity
A caller Saturday evening at East Washington Street in Washington reported a suspicious male on a bike riding around behind the United Presbyterian Home, near the maintenance shed. He was then sitting in the gazebo. An officer checked the area. The subject left before the officer could speak with him further.
A caller early Sunday morning at East Washington Street in Washington reported suspicious activity. An officer spoke with the subject. Everything was OK.
Welfare check
A deputy received a request for a welfare check, Saturday night at Ninth Avenue in Wellman. Three additional officers responded and spoke with a male subject and a female subject. Information was forwarded to the county attorney.
All other theft
A caller Saturday afternoon at Spruce Avenue in Washington reported a theft from his residence. An officer spoke with the caller for documentation purposes.
All other offenses
A caller Saturday night at South Benton Street in Brighton reported that a male broke into their residence. An officer responded. The male subject was served the no-contact order by an officer, advising him to have no more contact with the caller.
