Juvenile found deceased after report of accidental shooting

A male juvenile was found deceased at a residence after a 911 call reported an accidental shooting in Kalona.
At 10:20 a.m. on Friday, the Washington County Communications Center received a 911 call of an accidental shooting in Kalona, according to a news release. Upon arrival, emergency personal found the male juvenile deceased at the residence.
The Washington County Medical Examiner as well as the Yoder Powell Funeral Home were contacted. The incident is currently under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Washington County Ambulance Service and the Kalona First Responders assisted with the incident.
