Juveniles charged for vandalism in Brighton

BRIGHTON (GTNS) ? The Washington County Sheriff?s Office has charged four juveniles in relation to the vandalism that happened in Brighton over the weekend.

Washington County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar said the sheriff?s office received calls from 12 victims about vandalism to 17 different items. The estimated amount of damage is $7,5000.

According to the Washington County Communications Center call log, several items were spray painted and a couple of items were broken.

Four juveniles are charged as juveniles with criminal mischief and fifth degree theft, Dunbar said.  The Washington Evening Journal does not release names of juveniles unless they are charged with a serious misdemeanor or higher.

The case will be forwarded to a juvenile probation officer with the juvenile court system, Dunbar said.
