JV softball tops Keokuk at Southeast Classic
MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Fairfield JV softball team lost its first two games at the Southeast Classic but stayed tough for a game-three victory Saturday in Mount Pleasant.
The Trojans fell to Washington 10-9 in eight innings and lost to Mount Pleasant 10-4 before defeating Keokuk by a final score of 13-5.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Fairfield JV softball team lost its first two games at the Southeast Classic but stayed tough for a game-three victory Saturday in Mount Pleasant.
The Trojans fell to Washington 10-9 in eight innings and lost to Mount Pleasant 10-4 before defeating Keokuk by a final score of 13-5.
In the Fairfield win, Paris Bickham went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBI to lead the Trojans. Emma Kuehl provided two RBI and Delaney Neil had a pair of hits. Mikaela Amendt tossed all six innings of five-run ball to earn the win.
Kuehl went 4 for 5 and Bickham had another couple hits while knocking in two runs in the loss to Washington. Alyssa Fitch, Sara Adam and Neil had two hits apiece vs. Mount Pleasant.
Fairfield JV is at Eddyville-Blakesburg on Wednesday,
