Kalona 17-year-old faces assault, weapon charges

KALONA - A 17-year-old female was arrested Tuesday morning for charges of assault and a possessing dangerous weapon.
At 8:48 a.m., the Washington Communications center received a call from Kalona of a 17-year-old girl breaking things in a residence, according to a media report.
The police responded and charged the individual with assault, displaying a dangerous weapon and obstructing emergency communication.
The juvenile's probation officer was notified, and she was transported to Four Oaks Treatment Center.
