Kalona C Avenue project underway
The C Avenue project is underway as crews work to replace the stretch of road, add in a new water main and complete sidewalks to be ADA compliant.
GTNS photo by Gretchen Teske The C Avenue project in Kalona is underway as crews are working diligently to tear up the road between the Kalona City Hall and the Kalona Public Library. The road was beginning to separate and needed to be replaced, prompting the city to also decide to install a new water main as well. Once completed, the work will provide new sidewalks and transform the front of the library into ADA compliant space. The six-week project began last week and is expected to wrap up, weather permitting, by the end of May.
