Kalona man charged with meth possession
A Kalona man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine. Roger A. Schropp, 45 years old, was charged with possession of the controlled substance after the Johnson County Sheriff?s Office served a narcotics search warrant on his residence in the 1400 block of Angle Road S.W. in Kalona on Thursday.

A Kalona man has been charged with possession of methamphetamine. Roger A. Schropp, 45 years old, was charged with possession of the controlled substance after the Johnson County Sheriff?s Office served a narcotics search warrant on his residence in the 1400 block of Angle Road S.W. in Kalona on Thursday.
Deputies allegedly found multiple items indicating meth was recently made at the residence. The items included starter fluid cans, Coleman cans, sludge containing lithium battery strips, drain opener and pseudoephedrine boxes. A small glass container with meth inside was also recovered. Deputies said Schropp admitted to cooking meth four weeks ago and using it as recently as June 29.
