MT. PLEASANT - Henry County's Public Health Department has compiled a website of resources and fact sheets to keep the community informed and updated on the latest news surrounding the coronavirus. The page will act as a centralized location for reliable information.
The page includes links to health organizations such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), as well as graphics on how to properly wash hands and guides on how to stay healthy. Many of the resources listed on the page are also available in Spanish.
The page also informs community members that Henry County Public Health will remain open during regular hours and will continue to serve as an immunization clinic 'with additional safeguards.”
The department will be allowing one family into the office at a time during clinic hours, which are Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Families are asked to stay in their vehicles until called into the office.
The department also hopes to include information on local resources and services available to community members, especially those that will help vulnerable populations meet their basic needs.
The website is available at www.HealthyHenryCounty.org/PublicHealth. Community members can also call the public health department at 319-385-0779.
