Kewash event road closures announced
WASHINGTON — Organizers of the Kewash half-marathon have announced several roads set to close during the annual event on April 27.
From 5 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., the following roads will be closed:
- North Second Avenue from the downtown YMCA up to East Seventh Street
- A square between the intersections of West Fifth Street, West Seventh, North Second Avenue and North Fourth Avenue.
- North Second Avenue from West Seventh to Main Street
- One block of West Main street from Federation bank to downtown YMCA
Other roads will be closed from 5 a.m. to noon:
- West Main from the courthouse to Federation bank
- North Marion from central park to West Washington
- West Washington from Central Park to Sunset Park
- Entirety of Sunset Park
- West Main from Highway 1 to North F Avenue.
- North H Avenue going across the Kewash trail
- West Third Street from West Fifth to North F.
- Drivers will be stopped on HWY 1 for any runners crossing the road
