Kiwi Avenue to close for roadwork
KALONA — Kiwi Avenue, a rural, 1.69 mile Washington County road south of Kalona and Wellman, will close for much of the week starting Oct. 3, according to a county news release.
“Kiwi Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between County highway G20 (190th Street) and 155th Street in order patch the roadway in several places,” the release said. “The road is expected to be closed for four to five days to complete the work. Local residents may use the road to access their property along the road and are urged to use caution around construction equipment.”
The county Engineer’s office said they would take further questions on the matter from residents at 319-653-7731.
