MT. PLEASANT — Henry County Health Center Foundation is celebrating the 100th anniversary of hospital with a gala on Saturday, Nov. 6. To help celebrate, HCHC Foundation is posting interesting 100th anniversary trivia throughout Henry County.
“This is going to be fun,” HCHC Foundation Director Mark Hempen says. “I think our county residents will find these pieces of trivia about HCHC to be quite entertaining.”
Trivia questions will be posted at eight locations around Henry County … at each Henry County Health Center Clinic in Winfield, Wayland and New London; at the libraries in Winfield, New London, Salem and Mt. Pleasant; and at the health center in Mt. Pleasant.
Trivia will be updated often until the gala in November.
Trivia Chair David File says “The theme for our HCHC Trivia is ‘HOO Knew.’ You’ll see a wise medical owl along with the trivia on each of the displays.”
There will be drawings that give trivia enthusiasts a chance to win prizes.
“We’re having the first contest at the Car Cruise night in Mt. Pleasant on July 9, where you’ll have a chance to win $50 in Chamber Bucks,” File said.
“It’s interesting to look back over the last 100 years and see where HCHC started and how it has grown and evolved,” gala Chair Sally Olson adds. “We are excited to celebrate what HCHC has accomplished over the last 100 years at our Gala in November.”
