La Rue L. Welday, 93, of Hiawatha, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Hiawatha Care Center.
A private graveside service was held at Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

La Rue L. Welday, 93, of Hiawatha, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Hiawatha Care Center.

Ms. Welday was born Aug. 29, 1919 in Moulton, the daughter of Charles and Tella Elliott. She married James Wales Welday Jr., of Fairfield, May 3, 1941 at the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria, La.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Welday of Houston, Texas; one son, Jim Welday of Yuma, Ariz.; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
