Labor group plans peaceful protest
Members of the Des Moines-Henry County Labor Council are planning a peaceful protest Saturday, May `16, from 10 a.m.-noon at the main entrance to the Mt. Pleasant Mental Health Institute (MHI), 1200 E. Washington St.
The members said they are protesting in response to Gov. Terry Branstad?s ?put the cart before the horse? decision to close the MHI.

The protest will be hosted rain or shine.
