Latta Harris LLP expanding to Richland

Latta Harris LLP is working their way down the state with a new office opening in Richland.

The company, based in Cedar Rapids, has slowly been opening new locations over the last 35 years. They currently have six main offices in cities that include Washington and Iowa City, making Richland the seventh.

Jerri Schultz, a CPA with Latta Harris, will be based primarily out of the new location. She says the decision to expand to a seventh location came about because of existing clientele in the Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant areas.

'Richland seemed like a great option to pick up on a lot of that growth,” she said. 'It really allows us to bring in the other communities.”

The growth of the company not only includes a new location for them, but a new option in CPAs for potential clients as well. The new location, at 101 IA-78, will offer all the same services as the other locations such as accounting tax and auditing services.

She said the benefits the new office will offer to clients is ease and accessibility to a certified CPA. Schultz says that although many choose to review their own financial statements, having a CPA is a valuable resource because the rules are constantly changing and all staff are required to stay up to date with those changes.

Although there may be a change in location, Schultz promises that the principles, quality and client service will all remain at the high standard the company has put in place.

'We're excited to be a part of the community and to be able to offer our services,” she said.
