On Wednesday, the Fairfield Police Department received a phone call that a tall older male in his 60s had approached a pre-school age child at a local business to ask the child her name and where she lived. The grandparent of the child advised police the same man had approached the child on three other occasions and asked the same questions. The grandparent asked the man not to speak with the child. The grandparent told police the man had approached other young children at various businesses in town.
