Pekin?s Shea Dahlstrom, foreground, and the rest of her Panther teammates take off ahead of the field Thursday at the start of the junior high race at Ottumwa?s Wildwood Park. Dahlstrom won the race in 14:00 and the Pekin girls earned the meet victory with 11 points, 37 fewer than second-place Ottumwa. Pekin?s Bonnie Becker was second overall in 14:22 and Kaylee Linder finished third in 14:52 for the 1-2-3 Panther punch. Other Pekin runners finishing in the top 10 were Haley Beam (fifth, 15:17), Chelsea Lanphier (eighth, 15:33) and Rosie Cooley (10th, 15:55). In the boys? race, Pekin finished second to Ottumwa with 42 points; Malcolm Myers finished fifth in 13:08 and Ryan Millikin was fifth in 13:10.
