Legislative breakfast to be held Saturday

The second of the last Legislative Breakfast series, hosted by the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance, will be held on Saturday, March 25.

Elected state officials, Sen. Rich Taylor (D-Mt. Pleasant) and Rep. Dave Heaton (R-Mt. Pleasant) will be joined by Sen. Rob Hogg (D-Cedar Rapids) and Jack Hedgecock, general manager of the Mt. Pleasant Municipal Utilities as they discuss water quality.

Emery Styron will be the moderator for the session.

The topic of water quality will be discussed during the first half of the program, then the discussion will be open to other matters the audience would like to discuss with their elected officials.

The breakfast will be held at the Iowa Wesleyan University Chadwick Library International Room from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The event is open to the public and reservations are not necessary.
