Legislative forum Saturday in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its third in a series of four legislative briefings Saturday morning, March 19.
The event will be from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center. The county’s four state legislators are invited to participate by providing an update on bills at the Capitol in Des Moines, and by answering questions from the public. The four state legislators are State Sen. Adrian Dickey, State Sen. Jeff Reichman, State Rep. Jeff Shipley and State Rep. Joe Mitchell. All four are Republicans.
Coffee and doughnuts will be available for participants. There is no cost to attend.
The March legislative forum also will be livestreamed on Fairfield Media Center's YouTube channel.
If interested in the opportunity to ask a question during the Q&A part of the forum, the chamber asks attendees to form their question around one of the topics provided below:
Tax Reform (House File 2317, Signed by Governor)
Agriculture and Confinement Feeding Operations (House File 2305)
Modifying Sales and Use Taxes — Including Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund (I-Will) (Senate Study Bill 3157)
Medical Privacy and Freedom — Treatment Status, Immunity Passports, Masks (House File 2545)
