WASHINGTON — State Rep. Heather Hora and State Sen. Dawn Driscoll will meet with community members in Washington County on Tuesday, Dec. 19, where they will field questions and hear constituents’ concerns.
The event, hosted by the Washington Chamber of Commerce, has been dubbed an “agricultural legislative discussion,” a nod to both lawmakers’ farming backgrounds and committee positions. Driscoll chairs the senate’s Agriculture Committee, while Hora is vice chair of both the house Agriculture and Natural Resource committees.
“Both of our area legislators sit on ag-related committees at the state level,” Chamber Executive Director Michelle Redlinger said. “As they are getting ready to head back into session in January, they wanted to get a feel on the local pulse in agriculture, for what the concerns are and what’s being felt by the ag industry here in Washington County.”
The event is scheduled at noon at Dallmeyer Hall on the Washington County Fairgrounds Dec. 19. The Chamber has asked attendees to register in advance to receive a complimentary lunch, provided by Flamin' Flips BBQ Pit. The event is sponsored by the Washington County Fair Association, as well as KDK Sales & Equipment.
