Less absences seen at Fairfield schools
Although the Fairfield Community School District is still dealing with absences due to flu and flu-like illnesses, fewer absences are being seen.
Superintendent Don Achelpohl said this morning that only one of the six schools in the district had absences in the single digits Thursday, but it seems illnesses have reached a peak and are now declining.
?This is good news,? Achelpohl said.

The only school with climbing numbers is Lincoln Elementary School.
?They are still being hit hard,? he said.
