It was hot and it was humid. That, however, is to be expected during a summer which has seen much more heat than rain. With temperatures in the lower 90s, many entrants in the 2012 Midwest Old Threshers Reunion parade sweated through it. Neither the heat nor the humidity diminished the enthusiasm nor the number of entries. The parade, which began on Madison Street, turned south of Jefferson and then back east on Monroe, lasted well over an hour. In the top photo, the Mt. Pleasant Community High School band was the only band in the parade.
