The members of Life After Desert Storm (LADS) are hoping to find all of the members of the Iowa National Guard 134th Medical Company who served in the Persian Gulf area 10 years ago, to invite them to a reunion in Washington, June 2.

The organization is sponsoring several events that coincide with Washington's annual Ridiculous Day.

The veterans and their families will march or ride in the parade.

After the parade, they will hold an open house at the Guard Armory, to give the veterans a chance to share their memories, as well as let the public see their souvenirs.

A dinner for the veterans and their families is planned for that evening at Hoodwinks; LADS members are planning to invite an Iowa Guard commander to speak at the dinner. The meal will be followed by a dance that is open to the public. Admission to the dance will be free. The band, Blue Highway, will provide the music.

For more information, or to share information about the whereabouts of Guard Gulf veterans, call Timmins at 653-4332 or Wagner at 653-5598.
