Light at Marion, West Washington to be changed to stop light

Drivers will need to slow down on West Washington Street near the intersection of West Washington and Marion Street next week.
The flashing light at Marion and West Washington will be changed to a stop light on Thursday, June 6.
The City of Mt. Pleasant asks drivers to exercise caution in that area.
The light at this intersection is changed to a stop light about 90 days out of the year during the summer to ensure the safety of students who are enjoying summer vacation.
