Lightning sets fire to house in Washington
WASHINGTON, Iowa (AP) ? A lightning strike just before 7 a.m. Sunday is to blame for a house fire in Washington.
Washington County emergency officials say lightning hit the home of Tanya and Chris Reighard at 2962 Coppock Road causing a fire in one of the upper floor bedrooms.
The residents were able to get out of the home. No injuries were reported. Fire crews contained the damage to one bedroom.

The Red Cross was contacted for assistance to the Reighard family. Personnel from the Washington County Sheriff?s Office also responded to the fire.
