Lions Clubs? international president to visit MP
Bob Corlew, president of Lions Clubs International will be stopping in Mt. Pleasant Sunday as part of the Lions Centennial Bus Tour of North America.

Bob Corlew, president of Lions Clubs International will be stopping in Mt. Pleasant Sunday as part of the Lions Centennial Bus Tour of North America.
Corlew, who was elected at the Lions? 99th International Convention, June 24-28, in Fukuoka, Japan, will be at a reception in his honor Sunday, Sept. 18, from 2:30-4 p.m., in the International Room of the Chadwick Library on the campus of Iowa Wesleyan University. Coffee and light refreshments will be served and Lions of southeast Iowa are invited to attend.
The ?Coffee with Corlew? will also allow the president to meet with members of the state?s newest Campus Lions Club at Iowa Wesleyan.
Corlew is from Milton, Tenn., and is a retired chancellor for the State of Tennessee and a professor of law.
In addition to his Lion activities, Corlew has been active in the Boy Scouts of America, the Jaycees and the American Red Cross. He also was a major in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is being accompanied by his wife, Dianne, on the Centennial Bus Tour of North America, which is part of the 100-year anniversary of Lions Clubs.
This is the first time an International Lions president has ever visited southeast Iowa, according to area Lions Club officials.
