WASHINGTON — A woman allegedly brought a loaded gun into a child custody hearing at the Washington County Courthouse earlier this month.
Karey Greiner “had a loaded and chambered gun in her purse,” that was eventually removed during the hearing, according to a criminal complaint alleging her of domestic abuse for threats during the proceedings. That complaint also accused her of being under the influence of meth at the time.
Shortly after that complaint was e-filed, Greiner was arrested on charges of damaging property valued around $3,000 close to Bean’s Pharmacy in Washington.
“Officers were (investigating) a possible Domestic Assault … during the process of the investigation, Karey Greiner started to walk away from the scene of the investigation,” a separate criminal complaint said, using eyewitness accounts from officers who were on the scene. “Karey Greiner was (carrying) a laptop that did not belong to her … was given a lawful command to stop several times (and) eventually stopped, but became agitated again and attempted to walk away once more, she then smashed the laptop on the ground and attempted to run from Officers.”
A third criminal complaint, also containing an affidavit from police officers at the pharmacy, accused Greiner of Disorderly Conduct for Loud or Raucous Noise.
“Officers were advised by witnesses that Karey Greiner was creating loud a raucous noise inside of the pharmacy,” the affidavit said. “This caused patrons and staff to feel uncomfortable and unneeded distress … Greiner then exited the establishment and was yelling (on) the sidewalk and in the roadway.”
The Washington County Attorney’s office was not immediately available for comments.
