Local American Legion post to recognize 50-year members

A recognition event for members of the American Legion?s Bob Tribby Post 58 who have been continuous members of the Post for 50 years and over is planned for Tuesday, May 10, at the Mt. Pleasant Veterans Hall.

Stan Hill, who is organizing the event, said there are approximately 19 veterans who have been continuous members of the Post for a half century and over.

A light lunch and beverages kick off the event at 5 p.m. Post 58 will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. followed by recognition and photos of those who have been Post members for over 50 years. A social time will end the night?s festivities.

All American Legion members are invited to attend.
