Local man charged following accident
A Mt. Pleasant man was charged with two offenses following a May 14 accident at the 1100 block of South Linden Lane.
Tommy Chanthalavanh was arrested following the accident and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense and failure to maintain control.

A Mt. Pleasant man was charged with two offenses following a May 14 accident at the 1100 block of South Linden Lane.
Tommy Chanthalavanh was arrested following the accident and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense and failure to maintain control.
According to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Chanthalavanh was operating a 2008 Honda southbound in the 1100 block of South Linden Lane and struck a parked 2006 Toyota, owned by David Rauenbuehler.
Damage to the Chanthalavanh vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Damage to the Rauenbuehler vehicle was listed at $5,000. There were no injuries.
The local police were assisted at the scene by Sam?s Towing of New London.
