BOSTON ? The twin bombs at the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded more than 170 on Monday.
Marathon Foto, a photography company with an office in Fairfield, sent six or seven local photographers to Boston to photograph the marathon. Sue Thompson, director of client services at Marathon Foto in Fairfield, said Wednesday all of the company?s photographers were ?safe and fine.?
Thompson said the company had more than 100 photographers in Boston for the marathon.
She said two of them were stationed near the chute where the blasts occurred.
?They were probably rocked off their feet,? she said. ?They were right there. They were on the ground taking photos at the finish area.?
Thompson said another group of photographers was on a ?photo bridge,? beyond the finish line where four or five of the company?s photographers were stationed.
Several of the photographers who were in Boston Monday have gone to London to photograph a marathon there.
