Local woman assaulted, suffers severe injuries
A Mt. Pleasant woman was flown by helicopter Oct. 28 from the Henry County Health Center to the University of Iowa Hospital following what was termed an ?assault? on the Henry County Sheriff?s call log from that day.
The assault, from which the woman suffered severe injuries, happened shortly after 5 p.m., on the 600 block of North Adams Street in Mt. Pleasant, according to the sheriff department?s call log.

The assault, from which the woman suffered severe injuries, happened shortly after 5 p.m., on the 600 block of North Adams Street in Mt. Pleasant, according to the sheriff department?s call log.
Mt. Pleasant Police Chief Ron Archer said this morning that the investigation is still in the preliminary stages but that the woman ?appeared to have life-threatening injuries.?
Archer said he had no further information at this time but added the general public is not in danger.
