Local youngster attends Y Camp

Veronica Murphey, 12, daughter of Curtis and Patricia Murphey, was chosen by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to attend Y Camp in Boone from June 16-22. She is pictured here standing next to Sheriff's deputy Rusty Simpson. While at camp, Veronica participated in canoeing, horseback riding, camp fires and went on a zip line. The Sheriff's Office provides transportation to and from Y Camp. The camp is paid for by the Iowa State Sheriff and Deputy Association.
