A Lockridge man faces three felony charges following an investigation of a break-in over the Thanksgiving weekend at the Innovairre plant in Mt. Pleasant.
Dominic D. Eady, 26, has been charged with first-degree theft, a Class C felony; second-degree theft, a Class D felony; and two counts of second-degree burglary, a Class C felony. Lt. Lyle Murray of the Mt. Pleasant Police Department said Eady was an Innovairre employee but did not know how long Eady had worked there.
Eady was identified as the main perpetrator in the break-in. The search for more evidence continues and more charges are pending. Murray said he could not comment on whether Eady acted alone ?because the incident is still under investigation.?
Mt. Pleasant police reported an undisclosed amount of money allegedly was stolen. Murray said he could not disclose how much money was taken, due to the ongoing investigation.
The investigation was partially the result of concerned citizens assisting by calling in suspicious activity. Mt. Pleasant Police continue to urge citizens to call in any suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
