LOCKRIDGE ? Though the home at 107 S. Broadway St. in Lockridge is still standing, Lockridge Fire Chief Jeremy Loving described it as a total loss due to extensive water and fire damage.
?When we arrived, the west back side of the house was fully engulfed, and we had to act quickly to extinguish the fire,? Loving said.

LOCKRIDGE ? Though the home at 107 S. Broadway St. in Lockridge is still standing, Lockridge Fire Chief Jeremy Loving described it as a total loss due to extensive water and fire damage.

A neighbor called in the fire at the vacant home shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday.
Most of Lockridge?s 15, Fairfield?s nine and Mount Pleasant?s five firefighters were able to leave the scene around 6:30 a.m. Loving, the state fire marshal and Jefferson County sheriff?s deputies remained at the scene until late in the morning.
The fire marshal conducted an investigation, but the cause of the fire has not been released.
