RIVERSIDE — A Lone Tree man was arrested in Riverside after an officer located him while trying to serve outstanding warrants and found him near the residence of a protected party in an active no-contact order case, according to a criminal complaint filed Jan. 16.
The complaint says the officer learned Jan. 15 that Seth Westfall might be near East Third Street and Ella Street and that dispatch advised Westfall had active warrants. The officer also learned Westfall remained under a no-contact order involving a protected party who lived in the area, the complaint says.
The officer drove to the neighborhood and spotted Westfall “working on a vehicle,” according to the complaint. After running the license plate, the officer determined the vehicle belonged to the protected party, the complaint states.
The complaint says Westfall worked on the vehicle roughly 100 feet from the protected party’s front door. The officer arrested Westfall on the warrants out of Washington and Johnson counties and advised him of his Miranda rights, according to the filing.
Westfall told the officer he had not contacted the protected party and said his mother had communicated with the protected party and directed him to work on the vehicle, the complaint states. The officer reviewed the no-contact order and noted it required the defendant to stay away from the protected party’s residence and not remain in the immediate vicinity, according to the complaint.
The no-contact order issued Oct. 23, 2025, orders the defendant not to threaten, harass, assault or otherwise abuse the protected party, and it prohibits direct or indirect contact through any means, including electronic communication. The order also warns that a violation can result in immediate arrest and states that only a court can change the restrictions.
Westfall’s arrest connects to case number AGIN013702, where he faces charges that include domestic abuse assault and impeding air or blood flow causing bodily injury, along with first-degree harassment and domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness, first offense, according to the criminal complaints you provided.
Those complaints describe an incident reported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 29, 2025, by Westfall’s girlfriend. The complaint states the victim told investigators Westfall came to her Riverside residence at her request to help watch their two-week-old son around 8 a.m., and an argument escalated over financial assistance for the child.
The victim reported that Westfall threatened to kill her and that he twice put both hands around her neck and squeezed, causing pain, according to the complaint. The complaint also alleges Westfall pushed her to the ground and poked her in the face and head area. An officer reported observing injuries, including a laceration to the woman’s left pinky finger and wrist and bruising near her right clavicle, the complaint states.
Westfall has also faced probation-related allegations tied to other criminal matters. He was arrested on charges including a probation violation related to earlier identity theft and theft counts, as well as drug-related charges. A revocation hearing is scheduled for Feb. 4 in Washington County.
