Machine shed fire quickly extinguished
At 6:41 p.m. on Monday, two callers reported a machine shed on fire on Highway 92 east of West Chester.
Several other buildings were in close proximity including a home.
Washington Fire Department quickly responded. It only took a few minutes for the fire to be extinguished, but firefighters spent additional time ensuring all the embers were put out.
The Kalona Fire Department was initially called to assist, but that was canceled.
