WASHINGTON - The 26th Annual Lighted Holiday Parade has been canceled, following Gov. Kim Reynolds latest round of restrictions.
The Main Street Washington event was originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 28. It brings about 1,000 to 1,500 people every year to see the different floats and businesses.
With the latest proclamation, outside gatherings are limited to 30 people.
Main Street Director Sarah Grunewaldt said this eliminates their ability to do a community event such as this.
'We generally draw more than 30 in floats alone,” she said.
The Think Big, Shop Small event this Friday and Saturday will continue. Grunewaldt said Main Street Washington has other in-person events scheduled until next spring. A few upcoming events include a second quarantine kitchen and virtual Santa activities.
