HCHC Foundation has recieved support from Shottenkirk Automotive in its efforts to provide cost-effective mammography to Henry County women.
Shottenkirk Automotive, through its October Test Drive for Breast Cancer promotion, has awarded HCHC Foundation $920 to further the Foundation?s ability to provide financial assistance to those unable to afford mammograms.
?It?s important to us as a local business to support local projects,? said Mike Anderson, Shottenkirk General Manager. ?Our dealership and our customers have come together to help HCHC Foundation continue a project that can save lives and make a lasting difference for someone.?
HCHC Foundation Director Michelle Rosell stated, ?We are so thankful for the support the employees and customers of Shottenkirk have given to this project. It is an exciting and positive project that has significant impact on the patients who are in need of mammography services.?
The HCHC Foundation Mammography Assistance Fund was created in 2008 to help supplement Henry County Public Health Department?s Care for Yourself program.
Care for Yourself provides eligible women access to free mammograms and cancer screening services to help encourage women to get regular mammograms and reduce the fear associated with how to pay for such testing. HCHC Foundation worked with Public Health to set up this funding source for qualifying women.
Contact Michelle Rosell at 319-385-6541 to learn more about available options for support.
