Man, 21, held on multiple counts of domestic assault

MT. PLEASANT - A Mt. Pleasant man been charged with multiple counts of domestic abuse assault following a physical altercation last Wednesday.
Derek Brake, 21, of Mt. Pleasant was arrested after the Henry County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a physical altercation at Brandon Lane. Following an investigation, Brake was arrested for domestic abuse assault - impeding air or blood flow - a Class D felony, and domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, a serious misdemeanor.
Brake had an initial appearance with a magistrate on Thursday morning and was held on a $5,000 bond.
