A vehicle traveling at excessive speeds was spotted Thursday about 12:20 a.m. speeding through Mt. Pleasant.

The Henry County Sheriiff's Office was notified by other law enforcement officers for help in locating and stopping this vehicle.

The vehicle left the roadway in the 1900-grid of 255th Street and crashed.

Police identified the driver as Kasey Kirby, 22, of Mt. Pleasant. He sustained minor injuries in the crash.

This incident is being currently being handled and investigated further by the Mt. Pleasant Police Department.
