Man accused of waving machete arrested

MT. PLEASANT — A Mt. Pleasant man was arrested recently and charged with harassment after authorities say he waved a machete at people near Oakland Mills.
Henry County sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Sanderson, 36, after receiving the report on May 7.
An investigation determined Sanderson became angry and approached a group of people, waving a machete and threatening the group, according to the police report.
Deputies arrested Sanderson and charged his with first degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor, according to the report.
