A Tiffin man was arrested after attempting to flee law enforcement officers in New London on March 25.
Henry County Sheriff Rich McNamee said that around 9:35 p.m., Friday, a reserve deputy stopped a driver for speeding and a yield sign violation on Highway 34 west of New London.
“As the deputy walked up to the car, the driver sped away into New London,” McNamee said. “He got about six blocks into New London, got a flat tire and bailed out.”
McNamee said that New London police assisted with locating the driver.
“(The driver) was on the run for about 20 minutes,” McNamee said. “He was apprehended on the north end of town.”
David Emanuel Robinson Jr., 22, of Tiffin was arrested and charged with driving under suspension, eluding law enforcement, interference with official acts, speeding and failure to obey a yield sign.
