MT. PLEASANT - A man has been charged with terrorism and first degree burglary following a Tuesday morning shooting at the Heidelburg Motel in Mt. Pleasant.
David Stott, 45, was charged with terrorism and first degree burglary after police received a report of a shooting at the Mt. Pleasant motel.
According to a news release from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Henry County's Emergency Communications received a call from the motel at 7:38 a.m., on Nov. 5, about a shooting in one of its rooms. A 'suspect vehicle” was spotted leaving the motel, and subsequently stopped at a Pilot Truck Stop, where Stott was taken into custody.
